Truth is an abstraction. What we know for sure is that we know nothing for sure. -- Morality is a human construct to justify unjust enrichment and survival so others can be sacrificed for the good of an elite few, those who make the rules and own too much. Being progressive implies moving forward, toward better solutions, but change which benefits only those who own the most isn't progressive at all; it is a regressive, backwards moving wrong turn, both immoral and unjust. Doubt everything. Life may just be a computer simulation. There are no absolutes in this quantum physical reality. After all, what really is reality? |
Science of Life, Death and Survival. This list is about challenging the prevailing memes. The orientation is post-modern, post-liberalism and realpolitik. The objective is to seek the truth behind the abstractions and propaganda and establish better theories.

"Cogito ergo sum" - "I think, therefore I am." (Descartes)Maybe the only thing we can really change is ourselves. Our history, also taking into consideration pre-history, is not much different than it is today. We just have bigger and more powerful weapons. Man has always been warlike. Man has always gone to war and we try to kill each other as-if life really has no meaning. That is because biology teaches us it doesn't. We exist because we have been better at surviving to reproduce. Nothing else gets passed on. Cultures do change but not fast enough to alter our biological instincts. We can't even keep up with our technology, which can do us in faster than we can adjust to the consequences of thermonuclear war, depleted uranium, our veracious consumption of carbon fuels, and on and on. The only fact which is a fact and will not change no matter how much we try to prevent it is our eventual extinction which is as sure as dying. It happens to every species no matter how much they attempt to adapt and in our case how much some of what calls itself humanity thinks the world exists for them.

"The greatest threat
to our world and its peace comes from those who want war, who prepare
for it, and who, by holding out vague promises of future peace or by
instilling fear of foreign aggression, try to make us accomplices to
their plans." |
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we.
They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country
and our people, and neither do we."

Life is great! Don't miss any of it. Don't try to be what you are not and never pretend to be anything but what you are. Create your own time. Enjoy every moment. Life is a precious gift. Feel deeply. Enjoy simply. Celebrate life. Think freely. Take risks. Fight back. Oppose racism and injustice. Also welcome love. Be who you really are because life is too short to do otherwise. Be stronger than your condition. Be kind. Be supportive. Walk in somebody elses shoes. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Above all, seek justice and do no harm.
(Heb:"Seek Justice")
Experience Compassion! And, be all you can. And, don't let the bastards grind you down. There are a lot of BUBBAS in the world. Just ignore them. They're not worth your time. Everything is possible. Just do it! And, carry a big stick (a 357 Magnum works even better), just in case somebody tries to mess with you. Honor your parents, they probably did the best they could (or not) but what the hell, they were your parents.

"the West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact, non-Westerners never do."
