What better gift to the Republicans. Biden also has deep links to Rezko. The perversions run very deep with Obama. This kind of association would never pass the taste test anywhere else but with a media that gets paid to stir up controversy and support elitists and in spite of Michelle's attempt to paint them all as middle-class "normal" people, they are not - but that is another topic.

Michelle had a legacy acceptance to Princeton, never had very good grades, wrote a very anti-American thesis and affirmative action was not without some influence getting her and Barack (Barry) to Harvard - and working with the community I suppose in her mind means getting paid over $300,000 - but that doesn't happen to other; the "normal" folks. It happens to those who try to make themselves out to be what they are not.

As written in the Chicago Sun Times - the day after he was chosen by Barack Hussein Obama to be his running mate (August 25, 2008) too soon for many delegates to see it, Sen. Joe Biden also had ties to Tony Rezko.

Not unsurprising that little bump which always happens when a vice presidental choice is announced, it was not discernable (only 2-3 points) and as this news about Biden's ties to Rezko are being revealed the polls are indicating a loss of a few points. As of August 25th both McCain and Obama are tied. Think about it. Ordinarily, with such a bad record, perceived or real, by the Republican president, George W. Bush, the Democrat should be a shoo in. Obama ought to be at least 20 points up, but quite the contrary. He is even and going forwared as the real revelations are revealed he will fall like a rock. Not that the Democrats are simply losing, the Democrats ARE losers.

It is out. Biden admits to a 30 year friendship with a key figure and associate of Tony Rezko. Rezko has been convicted and that background information can be found in the Crypt.

From the Chicago Sun Times report:

"Joe Cari was Biden's Midwest field director and admitted to taking part in an $850,000 kickback scheme. Rezko is slated to be sentenced in October--a week before the election-- maybe not a surprise, but an unwelcome reminder to voters of all Obama's shady and radical relationships nonetheless...."

Biden is just now announcing he will give up that money doing as Obama did and they really think that would be the end of it? BUT it gets worse. The report said:

"As the former national finance director for the DSCC and DNC, Mr. Cari was a fund-raiser for many prominent (Democrats) elected officials,"

Also from the Washington Times (and other news sources):

"Chicago restaurateur and real estate developer Antoin Tony Rezko, one of Mr. Obama's first major political donors, was convicted in June on charges of using his Illinois connections to seek kickbacks from firms wanting to do business with the state - an investigation that also netted a guilty plea from Joseph Cari Jr., former national finance chairman for the Democratic National Committee and a longtime supporter and political adviser to Mr. Biden." (Washington Times - August 28, 2008 - "Longtime Biden backer linked to Rezko; Fundraiser pleaded to role in kickback scheme.")

"Cari, 55, a Chicago lawyer and former chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), admitted in a 2005 plea agreement with U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald to taking part in an $850,000 kickback scheme, which federal prosecutors said was part of a larger political fundraising operation overseen by Rezko." (ibid)

"Federal prosecutors said Cari conspired with Chicago businessman Stuart Levine, a former member of the Illinois Teachers Retirement System (TRS), to extort the $850,000 from a Virginia investment firm that was seeking an $850 million contract to invest the money of 325,000 retired state teachers." "Cari called the firm and told the firm they had to sign the contract by the end of the day or their application for the money would be pulled off the table. He made clear this is the way things are done in Illinois, Mr. Fitzgerald said at the time of the plea deal, which obligated Cari to cooperate in a then-ongoing government probe." (ibid)

"The plea agreement said Cari took part in the scheme because he thought Levine would help Cari's private equity firm obtain funds from the Illinois State Pension fund, and possibly other funds or entities." (ibid)

"Mr. Biden has acknowledged knowing Rezko for the past 30 years, and of having a longtime association with Cari, who served as the Delaware Democrat's Midwest field director in his 1988 run for the Democratic presidential nomination." (ibid)

"Cari has been an active Democratic fundraiser and contributor for more than 20 years, listed in federal election records as a major Democratic Party fundraiser for former President Bill Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore and others." (ibid)

"Federal election records show that since 1980, Cari has donated more than $59,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, $33,000 to the Democratic National Committee and $7,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He also has given more than $100,000 directly to candidates, including $4,000 to Mr. Biden." (ibid)

Mr. Cari has pleaded guilty and isn't going anywhere but a federal penitentiary - where Obama and Biden ought to be joining them. It may yet happen.
