THE REAL CHALLENGE of HOLY WAR

Daniel Pipes, who has written and extensively studied the Middle-East and Islamization, wrote in the Jerusalem Post (10-11-2005) that George W. Bush finally declared what has been called by the administration, the "war on terror." Pipes said this doctrine was appropriate, late but due, because the war actually began against the United States in 1979 when the Ayatollah Khomeini ascended to power in Iran and his supporters violently seized the American embassy in Teheran.

For the next 22 years America failed to realize they were embroiled in a war and when in 1998 Muslims attacked two more American embassies, this time in Africa, the response was tepid. The U.S. government arrested the attackers, took them to NY and provided them with a legal defense, put them on trial, and they were convicted and sentenced to jail. They were treated like mere criminals instead of jihadists. The war Bush was to declare much later had already begun.

The "war on terror" entered a new stage on September 11, 2001. It was only then that as Pipes describes it, "the US government promptly went into war mode, for example, by passing the USA Patriot Act."

"Though welcoming this shift, I during four years criticized the notion of making war on a military tactic, finding this euphemistic, inaccurate, and obstructive. Instead, I repeatedly called on the president to start a third era by acknowledging that the war is against radical Islam." (Daniel Pipes - Jerusalem Post - 10-11-2005 "George W. Bush declares war on radical Islam - finally")

War is ubiquitous. Terrorism is a tactic of suicide bombings, planes flying into buildings, assassinations, bio-warfare and other acts of aggression to intimidate a population and governments.

"Shock and Awe" was terrorism by a government and "rests ultimately in the ability to frighten, scare, intimidate and disarm." (Harlan Ullman - Shock and Awe: Achieving Rapid Dominance - NDU Press, 1996 - a strategy written about by Ullman prior to its application in Iraq)

It is also a religious ideology, an application of jihad, a holy war which utilizes terrorism as a tactic.

The Christian bible and the Jewish Torah are filled with descriptions of terrorism, including rape, infanticide, genocidal wars, and all manner of barbarity.

Psalm 139:9 - "O daughter Babylon...Happy shall they be who take your little ones and dash them against the rock!"

"Bush did occasionally mention radical Islam - in fact, as early as nine days after 9/11 - but not with enough frequency or detail to change perceptions. British prime minister Tony Blair also advanced the discussion in July, when, after the London transport bombings, he focused on `a religious ideology, a strain within the worldwide religion of Islam.'" (Pipes)

JIHAD AND HOLY WAR

Islam intends to eliminate all infidels and change all law to Sharia (Islamic) Law.

Islam has as its goal the reform its own society, dar al-harb where Sharia dictates all behavior, dress, tradition, and culture - to live in a Islamic community under Allah.

"According to the Islamic view, the world is divided into two regions, the sphere of Islam, dar al-islam, and the sphere of war, dar al-harb, so conceived because the sphere of the unbelievers had to be warred upon: the pagans and the `people of the book,' Jews and Christians, forced to convert or pay tribute. The waging of war to these ends is considered the sacred duty of all Muslims, the very specific will of Allah. Conflict is an acceptable and proper way of life for Muslims, and, indeed, it is prescribed." (Charles W. Sutherland, Deciples of Destruction, 1987 - Prometheus Books)

Obama claims to be a Christian now. He has never explained why he choose a church which adopted "Black Liberation Theology", ergo, "Black power" as its creed, which claims to be "unabashedly Black?" Obama's church emphasizes Black victimhood and Black liberation from White oppression. This is also a church which holds in high esteem the antisemite, Louis Farrakan. A church which promotes "Blackness" is thus discriminatory and racist, and a church where some members have resigned from because of the Pastor's radical message of hate and "feel-good" victimhood. It is a creed which does not unite; it is an ideology which promotes separateness.

It must also be assumed Barack Obama has some knowledge of Islam. How could he not? He spent years in an Islamic country, he attended a school in which teachers and other students were identified as Muslims and he too, was identified as a Muslim and participated in Islamic prayer. His name is Islamic. His cousin, also a politician, intends to fully implement (Islamic) Sharia Law. Yet, Barack never speaks about it. NEVER! Why wouldn't he explain to Americans, as he did with his famous speech about race, also describe Islam, his close association with it (his family in Kenya are Muslims) and explain why he NOW distances himself from it, if he does? Or does he?

While I don't use a standard blog (weblog software) mostly because I've been doing this too long - having been there with Ike when the precursor to the Internet, Arpanet got started and every step of the way since, I can't get into all the many fads over the years (now it is social networking), but I have been an observer and participant in events which shape the world since my time with NSA and with Army Security and as a voice security cryptologist in the White House for the President, and the War Room at the Pentagon for the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff plus two wars. You could say this site is one of the better kept secrets [grin] on the InterNUT. You are invited back as often as you would like to see what I and others, I trust, may be saying.
